Her Margarita glass was raised to the heavens as her little form swayed in the wind - mascara running down her eyes.
He had followed her from her Cinderella moment at the party. And now he stood watching her as she danced dangerously close to the rocky ocean cliffs below her.
"Careful." He said, grabbing her wrist just before she slipped. The smell of alcohol and salt was rich upon her breath. "Can I take you somewhere?" He asked.
"You can take me anywhere." She said.
And so he steered her away from the sharp rocks. Just like he had at the party - and just as he did in life.
